It’s less than a month away. The most anticipated game for the Wii since its launch just over a year ago. Super Smash Bros: Brawl.
I haven’t fired up my Wii in months but I will promise you that this game will be in my hands on March 9th, 2008, along with thousands of other pre-sale buyers. I really don’t even have time to play video games anymore. Retiring from World of Warcraft was really hard to do and left me with a bad taste in my mouth in regards to gaming. Since last raiding with my Warlock in Serpantshrine Cavern last summer, the only other game I’ve played is counterstrike once late one night after Pho.
But Super Smash Bros: Brawl is going to set new standards for Wii games as well as action/fighting games.
The graphics are not only sexified, but the game play is apparently very easy to pick up. So beginners are welcomed, which makes this a great party game. I’m so sick of games like Mario Party which take a lifetime to get any victory gratification. All I wanna do is beat somebody, stand up, and shout “Champion of the world!!!!” Is that too much to friggin ask?

Even after almost three days of intense playtime we’ve barely scratched the surface in terms of unlockables. You never know when you’ll gain a new character or open up a new stage to play on, and the game is littered with hundreds of hidden music tracks, stickers, and trophies. New trophies can also be attained via a new minigame called coin launcher, which played a little bit like Space Invaders. It will take a sincerely devoted fan to collect all these trophies and stickers, but those are just the kind of obsessive people who will enjoy positioning them and taking their pictures.

Brand new characters, tons of unlockables, new finishing moves and awesome solo and multi-play set this game above the rest. Less than a month away kids…
